Glaucoma
Glaucoma is typically caused by fluid buildup in the front of the eye. This extra fluid increases the pressure in your eye, which can damage the optic nerve, resulting in loss of vision. Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness in individuals over the age of 60. It is a serious condition, but can often be significantly minimized or completely prevented with early treatment.
